With Ontario Health approval of a regional plan for area hospitals to ramp up non-urgent care, the hospital has begun a staged plan to increase or decrease non-urgent care as circumstances allow starting today, Tuesday, June 16th. Diagnostic Imaging: Elective diagnostic imaging appointments at CMH have begun. This includes X-ray, BMD,CT, Echo cardiograms, and Ultrasound. This also includes Cancer screening mammography. The Ontario Breast Screening exams continue to be deferred under recommendation from the Ministry of Health and Cancer Care Ontario (CCO). We will work forward with referrals we have from March 16, day by day. We ask that you be patient, as CMH must still follow the social distancing recommendations limiting the number of people in one area at one time. We will be offering some evening and weekend appointments to allow for this, so when speaking to the booking office you may specify if this is your preference and we will try our best to accommodate you.
Surgical and Endoscopy Services: Patients will be called and booked appropriately.
Outpatient Clinics: Outpatient clinics begin June 16. Referrals received through CMH Booking Department are being triaged. Patients will be called and booked appropriately. Some appointments will be conducted over the phone and some will be in-person. This will be determined once you receive your call from the Booking Office.
