All students at Cobourg Collegiate Institute are moving to at-home virtual learning tomorrow, Tuesday April 7th.
In a statement posted on the CCI website, the school says the decision was made in consultation with the public health unit which is responding to half a dozen cases of COVID 19 involving individuals who attend the school. While the public health unit hasn’t declared an outbreak, CCI says it’s CLOSING the school to in-person learning, immediately.
In all cases of the confirmed infections, there’s evidence exposure took place outside the school.
CCI says the return to at home virtual learning is a precaution.
