Belleville has several options to help residents and visitors stay cool, during the warm summer weather.
The library in downtown Belleville is open seven days a week – Mon. to Thurs. from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fri. from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sat. from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sun. from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. There are also two filling stations for water bottles (on the first and third floors.)
The wellness centre is also open on Cannifton Road – weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and weekends from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. There are free splash pads across the city – including at Kinsmen, Parkdale and Riverside parks.
There’s $3 admission for the Kinsmen Community Pool (Dundas Street East) – or you can buy 10 for $25 (kids two-years-old and under get in for free.) For hours that local splashpads and parks are open, visit https://belleville.ca/recreation/page/pools-and-splash-pads.
