Arrests have been made in connection with a violent robbery in Belleville earlier this month. Two 19 year old men have been taken into custody and charged.
The case involves a convenience store robbery in north-end Belleville. The store clerk was sprayed with a substance. He followed the suspect out of the store and was assaulted by two men. The employee was taken to Kingston Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
With assistance from the public, RCMP and VIA Rail police, Kyle Arsenault of Belleville and Jordan Earle of Moncton New Brunswick, have been arrested. Both men have been charged with attempted murder.
