Percy Centennial Public School in Warkworth will host the grand opening of its Courtyard Classroom Tuesday, December 9th.
Students will come out during the day with their class to see it and enjoy some hot cider. After classes recess at 3:30 in the afternoon – parents and community residents are invited to view the Courtyard Classroom.
The Courtyard Classroom project is a school and community effort. The School Council funded the flagstone. The labour required for laying the flagstone, was donated. Grade 8 students helped; a learning experience in the trades for them. A local parent donated the log table and stump stools. The Union of Correctional Officers (Warkworth Penitentiary) donated $1500 for the project.
