Final preparations are underway for Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation’s annual gala Saturday, October 17th. Covid-19 means this year’s event will be virtual but still very engaging. Laura-Lee Bradie, manager of Events and Stewardship at the Foundation, says the gala has a long and successful history.
Each year the gala has a theme and Bradie says the development of any new concept begins almost immediately after the previous event.
Even on this year’s virtual stage, Bradie says the TMHF gala is going to be as colourful as in previous years.
The James Bond 007 “FOR YOUR EYES ONLY” theme highlights this year’s fundraising target – the cataract surgery and other ophthalmology services TMH provides exclusively for Quinte Health Care.
Like all hospitals in Ontario, Bradie says Trenton Memorial relies heavily on the community it serves to properly fund the medical services it provides.
As a regional medical centre and member of a group of four hospitals, Bradie says Trenton Memorial has a wide reach when it comes to patient intake.
This year’s virtual TMHF gala has a new and exciting component which Bradie says adds value to the $200 tax deductable price of admission.
The silent auction will open a few days before the virtual gala which is from 7-9PM on Saturday, October 17th. Tickets can be purchased on-line at http://www.trentmemhospfdn.schoolauction.net/auction2020/homepages/show
