The first steps in re-opening Ontario have been taken.
Member of provincial parliament for Northumberland – Peterborough South, David Piccini, touches on the highlights of yesterday’s (Feb 8) announcement made by Premier Doug Ford.
Piccini says the changes allow businesses to open at 25 per cent capacity, even if they’re still in a grey/shutdown zone – which is most of Ontario at this point.
Only three regions in Eastern Ontario were moved into the ‘Green-Prevent’ category, Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington Public Health and Renfrew County and District Health Unit.
Piccini gives us an update on when we can expect details to be released on the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit.
But Piccini has an important message he’d like the community to keep in mind.
Our MPP adds that while it’s good news businesses are slowly able to re-open, he knows small businesses owners are still facing challenges.
