After a rainy July, water levels on the Trent-Severn Waterway are a bit higher than normal to start August.
Parks Canada Public Relations and Communications Officer Karen Feeley says it’s unusual to see levels this high in mid-summer.
Feeley adds that a big risk with higher water levels is damage to docks as a result of wakes coming from boats.
