An investigation by the province’s police watchdog into the death of a man in Port Hope has wrapped up.
Last May, a 35-year-old man’s body was found at the Comfort Inn after a ‘self-inflicted death’.
The SIU report states they found no reasonable grounds to believe the officers committed a criminal offence in connection to the man’s death.
The officers had interacted with him the day prior for reportedly assaulting and confining his estranged girlfriend.
