Applications are now being accepted for the Trees for Rural Roads program.
The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority has once again collaborated with some Municipalities to offer free potted stock to be planted along rural roads.
Partnerships include with Port Hope and the Township of Hamilton.
The program goal is to restore trees along roads for their beauty and environmental benefits.
Applications are due for consideration by March 31st.
If flower shrubs or different evergreens and hardwoods are what you are looking for, the GRCA also offers a Tree Seedling Program.
