Brighton Mayor Brian Ostrander is throwing his hat into the ring once again.
The incumbent mayor said it is his intention to have his name on the ballot for mayor of Brighton on Election Day, Monday, Oct. 24.
“I can confidently say unless something dramatic happens that I will be running for mayor in 2022,” said Ostrander.
Ostrander, a former Brighton councillor, was elected as first-time mayor of the municipality of Brighton in the last municipal election on Oct. 22, 2018 after narrowly defeating two-term incumbent mayor Mark Walas in a closely fought campaign. Ostrander won by a mere 133 votes, as he attained 2690 to Walas’s 2557.
