If you’ve been looking for a more eco friendly way to stock up on everyday household cleaning supplies, there’s now a place in Cobourg for you.
Change Makers Refillery and Coffee Bar celebrated its grand opening in downtown Cobourg last week.
Owner Courtney Ker said they’re excited to see what kind of impact their sustainable cleaners have on the community.
According to their website, a refillery is a curated shop that provides a convenient way for the customer to reduce single-use plastics in everyday life.
Rather than purchase a new container each time you need more shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion or household cleaning products, you can refill your own more permanent containers with bulk products.
Prior to moving to Cobourg from Collingwood, Ker said there were many refillery type stores near her. However she was disappointed when there was nothing like that in Cobourg.
Ker said they’re perfect for small towns.
In addition to the refillery, you can also grab some coffee at their coffee bar, which Ker said they’re planning on expanding in the future.
Change Makers Refillery and Coffee Bar is located at 91 King St W in Downtown Cobourg.
