The Trenton Golden Hawks went 1-1 over the weekend, edging the North York Rangers 3-2 on Friday on Friday and then losing 6-2 on the road to the Haliburton Huskies on Saturday.
Matthew Cato led the offence for Trenton, picking up a goal and an assist in each game. The Whitby native currently leads all Winterhawks scorers with 10 goals and 19 points thus far.
Goaltending duties were split over the two games, with Ethan Fraser picking up the win on Friday while Luka Dobrich suffered the Saturday loss. Newly acquired former Kingston Frontenacs goalie, Aidan Spooner, picked up the win for Haliburton.
The Golden Hawks are now 7-5 on the season, sitting fourth in the South/East conference, with their next game going Thursday in Caledon.
