
In one of the closest races in the province, Cobourg has elected a new face to serve as mayor.
Lucas Cleveland has unseated incumbent John Henderson but just over 100 votes to become mayor. Cleveland insists his first order of business is to unite the community and get the new council working together.
Now who is on council? Former councillor Nicole Beatty won the role of new deputy mayor, while incumbent councillors Aaron Burchat, Brian Darling and Adam Bureau were all victorious, along with newcomer Randy Barber and Miriam Mutton.
