Do you need a Volunteer to help out for a few days?
Trinity College School, or TCS, is reaching out to local businesses, not-for-profits and organizations to offer volunteers as part of the School’s annual Week Without Walls initiative.
For 11 years, students have been helping out in retirement homes, cleaning and organizing office spaces, packing food hampers, creating activities for children, and even hauling lumber.
Director of Service Learning at TCS Kim Vojnov, told us more.
Since 2020, they have not been able to run the annual event and students have been longing to get back out into the community.
This year, TCS is seeking out volunteer experiences to allow students to fully understand the shared impact of community service.
Kim told us how it works.
Week Without Walls provides volunteers for all sorts of jobs.
Volunteer students work for three consecutive afternoons and get the chance to see the difference their contributions make and also observe the reality that volunteer work is never truly finished.
According to Vojnov, they can provide a lot of people power to help with your project.
Volunteers will be available the afternoons of November 29th, November 30th and December 1st and all students and/or student teams will be accompanied by a TCS staff member.
