The deadline to make the holidays happy and hopeful for local seniors, is fast approaching.
The Brighton Stockings & Santa Sacs for Seniors campaign is underway until December 6th. Lynn Gladman, one of the organizers, tells Oldies 100.9 volunteers and contributors are carrying on the good work of Heather Haug who created the program but can’t participate this year.
Gladman tells Brighton Today they need to create 250 Santa Sacs.
Gladman says each year the community comes through.
Residents of Applefest, Maplewood and Golden Pond retirement home benefit from the program, annually. Gladman says knowing the community cares puts a smile on the faces of all of those who receive a Santa Sac.
