Northumberland County Council received an initial presentation of draft 2023 County Budget.
Following the appointments of a new Warden and Deputy Warden, Council kicked off their first meeting with an initial presentation of the draft 2023 budget.
The draft proposes a 5.9% levy increase with 4.8% as base and 1.1% towards Dedicated Infrastructure Investment.
For residents in Northumberland it means an the average family will see an increase of about $79 for the year.
The levy represents about $68 million of the $198 million county budget.
