This Friday is Family Literacy Day.
Five Counties Children’s Centre say the lessons from Family Literacy Day on January 27th should be encouraged and embraced 365 days a year.
Ida Lloyd, a Speech-Language Pathologist at Five Counties said “Reading, singing, listening, talking, and playing with your child every day is not only fun, but supports literacy. It’s one of the most valuable things we as parents and caregivers can do for our kids.”
So take 15 or 20 minutes every day to read with your children.
The rewards are life-long.
