The province is connecting people to convenient care, close to home.
The Ontario government released a new plan for Healthcare in the province called “Faster Access to Care” which focuses on providing more convenient access to residents.
Northumberland Peterborough South MPP David Piccini told us the plan is based on three pillars.
Piccini said tactics like pharmacists providing prescriptions, Youth Wellness Hubs and reduction of surgical backlogs are just part of the plan.
Piccini told us the plan has three pillars: The Right Care in the Right Place, Faster Access to Care and Hiring More Health Care Workers, like doctors who are in high demand in our community.
Because of Learn and Stay grants, underserved communities now have better access to young graduates whose tuition costs are covered when they work in these communities after graduation.
