A major shakeup is coming to the Golden Hawks.
Trenton released a statement on Tuesday, announcing they are making a coaching change, parting ways with General Manager and Head Coach Jerome Dupont.
“These types of decisions are very difficult in our business, especially when dealing with good people,” said Shawn Hicks. “Jerome has done a great job for the Golden Hawks over the years, but these changes are a reflection of a change of direction where development of local players will have a greater focus.”
Todd Reid is to step in as Interim General Manager. Reid has extensive experience as a GM in both Wellington and most recently with Cobourg and we are confident in his ability to recruit. The team will begin working through the process of naming the next Head Coach in the coming weeks.
