There’s a new Rainbow crosswalk at Northumberland Hills Hospital to recognize Pride month.
The pride flag is also flying at the hospital.
NHH says participating in Pride month adds to the steps already taken by the hospital’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee. NHH recognized the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation last September and Black History Month in February.
The new rainbow crosswalk runs parallel to the orange crosswalk—introduced last September in honour and remembrance – of residential school survivors and the many children who never returned home.
