The 59th Annual Scottish Festival & Highland Games have come and gone for another year, and even through a stormy Friday, organizer George Cackette says the authentic feel of Scotland was in the atmosphere.
Folks experienced a Scottish Military Tattoo, the Concert band of Cobourg, and pipe bands on opening night.
30 pipe bands and 170 Scottish dancers were active during the event with cooperative weather the following Saturday.
Joining in the Scottish Fest celebration for their anniversary was the Concert Band of Cobourg. Drum Major Luke Storms filled us in on the details.
2023 was scheduled to be the 60th year before the pandemic shut the event down, Cackette looks forward to celebrating that 60-year milestone.
