The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation recently received a $5,000 grant from the Brian Todd Memorial Community Fund to purchase a new stretcher to be used to move patients from the Emergency Department into the Imaging Department.
A hospital stretcher plays a very important part in patient care. These stretchers are used for moving patients from one part of the hospital to another. Often these patients are unable to move by themselves, depending on their circumstance or injury.
“We are so grateful to receive this grant from the Brian Todd Memorial Community Fund,” said Lindsey Butcher – Dodds, the Operations Community Impact Specialist at Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
“This grant allows us to purchase a stretcher that will be used to move patients from the ER department into the diagnostic imaging department, so that patients can get accessed quickly.”
The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation raises funds from the community and granting agencies like the Brian Todd Memorial Community Found, for equipment used at Trenton Memorial Hospital as the Ontario government only provides operational dollars and does not provide addition funds for equipment purchases.
Trenton Memorial Hospital serves patients not only Quinte West but also the Brighton and East Northumberland area too.
