Bookworms rejoice— The Trenton branch of Quinte West Public Library reopens after a month-long closure for renovations.
Upgrades include new height-adjustable service desks, lounge furniture and bistro tables and two new office pods offering dedicated space for taking exams, making private phone calls, and conducting small meetings. The library’s Maker Space also includes a new 3D scanner and sewing machines.
Enhancements to the library’s children’s area include “learning-through-play” features like a light box table, a Duplo Lego table, and interactive magnetic wall panels featuring movable components, including ramps, tunnels, pathways and slides.
Enhancements to the children’s area were possible because of a $75 thousand donation from the Parrott Foundation.
The Trenton library branch reopens Monday, June 26. This will allow the Frankford branch of the library on North Trent Street will return to regular hours of operation.
