The agreement is effective from September 1st through to August 31st of 2026 and is based on a provincial framework.
The agreement also incorporates local issues and workplace considerations agreed upon by both parties.
Ron Maguire, President of CUPE Local 5555 said the stability of having the agreement in place until 2026 will not only benefit CUPE members, but also staff and students.
KPR District School Board Chairperson Steve Russell said that negotiations were positive and respectful and that on a number of local issues they’ve found common ground that will benefit all.
