As part of the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure tour event last week, new maps at the entrance to Fraser Park and Centennial Park in Trenton were unveiled.
The maps show the trail, which spans 3,600 kilometres from Sault Ste. Marie to the Quebec border and highlight recreation destinations in the area including the Millenium Trail, Lower Trent Trail, Batawa and Trenton trails.
A safe cycling route from Quinte West to Belleville is also featured on the new maps.
Last week’s Waterfront Regeneration Trust’s Great Waterfront Trail Adventure tour saw 140 cyclists with their support staff make their start on a ride to the Quebec border last week.
“It was great to see so many cyclists enjoying all that Quinte West has to offer on the first day of the GWTA,” said Mayor Jim Harrison. “Whether walking, riding, or cycling, we have many scenic trails in our community, and it was a pleasure to welcome the GWTA to beautiful Quinte West.”
