Codrington Farmers’ Market newest vender is Beverley Shepherd with her “VEGG UP” condiment sauce and she brings this unique organic sauce to compliment the current market offerings.
Shepherd told us you can use her sauce on all your favourite foods.
Her VEGG UP sauce is vegetable based sauce that you can use of everything.
Shepherd told us how she got started.
“Years ago on my quest to eat more wholesome and natural, to improve my health,” said Beverley Shepherd. “Came a desire to help everyone improve theirs because we are what we eat.”
Moving to Cobourg from the city, 3 years ago, Beverley decided to start small, selling at local markets to introduce her product.
She is at the Codrington Farmers’ Market located at the Codrington Community Centre every Sunday from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm and on Saturdays at Cobourg’s Farmers’ Market in downtown Cobourg from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
She has also expanded into some retail locations.
“You can find my VEGG UP sauce at Robin’s Nest in Warkworth and I am currently working with Terri at the Lass and Ladle in Grafton to place sauces there too,” added Shepherd.
Beverley has been thrilled by it’s reception.
The Codrington Farmers’ Market came well recommended to her.
“I found them as I was doing research and talking to people at the Cobourg marker who told me to try the Codrington Market,” said Shepherd. “Even a friend of mine in B.C. told me to try Codrington too. They are very friendly there, welcoming and supportive to the growth of my business.”
