Charges of theft have been laid by Northumberland OPP
On October 16, officers responded to a stolen vehicle report.
Around 9 am, a pickup truck theft was reported in Augusta Township.
Later that morning, the OPP received information from a vehicle tracking service that pinpointed the vehicle’s location in Port Hope.
Randy William Rae, a 44-year-old resident of Kitchener, was apprehended and is now facing charges, including Possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000, Failure to comply with a probation order, and Possession of three stolen credit cards.
Reports say the vehicle was recovered.
The accused was detained and will to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
