This is your chance to be a first-ever audience for plays in production! You’re invited to attend the free staged readings of new plays developed by the 2023 Creators’ Unit in collaboration with the Capitol Theatre.
These projects, in development throughout the year, showcase the culmination of these creators efforts.
On November 14th, you can participate in Playreading Week with a peek at ‘Rez Gas’, a play in development by Cale Crowe and Geneview Adam.
Artistic Director Rob Kempson tells us more.
According to Kempson, it’s your change to see what the the Creators’ Unit has been working on.
Professional actors will perform at music stands, offering glimpses of excerpts or presenting the full script. It’s an entertaining way to engage with the early stages of play development.
On Wednesday, November 15th, ‘A Canadian for a Canadian’ will be the featured play reading – a work in production by Marc Ludwig.
