Over $85,000 in grants will boost community project according to RTOERO
The Retired Teachers of Ontario’s yearly community grants campaign will support 22 grassroots projects in Ontario and B.C.
Here in Cobourg, $4,000 was allocated to assist the YMCA Northumberland in delivering the Breaking Bread program, a free monthly initiative for individuals aged 55 and above.
The program, now in it’s 23rd year, has contributed nearly $2 million to 550 programs and projects, showcasing the commitment of its members to service throughout their careers and retirement.
“In their careers and in retirement, RTOERO members have been dedicated to service, and the community grants program is another way to put that into action,” says Foster.
