Since Oct. 16, with every check-in, using the Great Taste of Northumberland County passport has given a shot at winning one of five Bounty Boxes. These boxes are loaded with ‘Made in Northumberland County’ food and beverage products (and/or gift certificates) from local businesses. Each prize is valued at over $400.
Diane Murenbeeld, Manager of Northumberland Tourism, tells us more.
Northumberland County boasts a rich array of local restaurants featuring everything from organic produce to diverse cuisine. The owners and chefs of these establishments craft delectable and authentic dishes, incorporating locally sourced ingredients like produce, maple syrup, honey, cheese, and proteins.
This includes, but far from limited to, award-winning Olympus Burger and regional-favourite Dooher’s Bakery.
Murenbeeld says you might not know what’s in your own backyard.
The Bounty Box contest wraps up Nov. 20, and Murenbeeld says it’s overall been a resounding success.
