United Way’s Acting Executive Director Maggie Darling told us about the early beginnings of the radiothon.
This year, our focus is on supporting the Northumberland Eats program, a crucial initiative in partnership with Northumberland County.
Darling told us about the growth of the program that started at $40,000 dollars.
The primary goal of this program is to address food insecurity within our community while also uplifting local businesses. Through the distribution of vouchers, the Northumberland Eats program aims to assist individuals and families facing food challenges across the county.
