Northumberland OPP say a Roseneath resident is facing charges after an investigation into a fire at an Alderville residence in January.
On Thursday, Feb. 8, police issued a release saying charges were laid in connection to the fire.
On Jan. 29, at about 7:50 a.m., police said they responded to a report of a structure fire at a residence on Megyaak Drive. Officers attended the scene where fire crews were dealing with the fire.
No injuries were reported.
OPP said forensic identification services, the canine unit, and emergency response team also attended to help with the investigation.
On Feb. 7, police said they executed a warrant at an address in Roseneath.
As a result of the investigation, police said Seth Gray, 35, of Roseneath, was charged with arson – disregard for human life, and arson – damage to property.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
The accused was held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg, said OPP.
