Belleville police say a Quinte West resident has been charged after an alleged road rage incident and two-vehicle crash.
On Monday, April 1, 2024, at about 5 p.m., the Belleville Police Service said police responded to a collision at Old Highway 2 and Mitchell Road in Belleville.
Officers arrived at the scene and noted two vehicles involved in a collision, said police.
There were no injuries reported, and police said both vehicles were drivable.
According to police, further evidence gathered allegedly revealed that the collision was a result of a road rage incident where one of the drivers intentionally caused the collision.
On Tuesday, April 2, police said as a result of an investigation, a 73-year-old Quinte West resident was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
This charge has not been proven in court.
The accused was released on an undertaking with a court date in May, said police.
