If you’re looking for a new gig, a Work in Quinte Career Fair featuring nearly 60 employers looking to fill 400-plus positions is in the works for Wednesday, April 24.
Quinte West and Belleville will welcome job seekers to the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre for the job fair April 24 from 1 to 6 p.m.
“Attending the career fair is the perfect first step for those interested in looking for a change or to kick-start their career,” said Elizabeth Edwards, economic development officer for the City of Quinte West. “The opportunity to meet with the employers and speak to the hiring team directly is advantageous for those interested in a new career path.”
The Work in Quinte Career Fair will host nearly 60 employers from across the region to showcase employment opportunities, promote their organizations, and meet qualified candidates, noted city officials.
Some of the employers attending this year’s fair include All Season Fencing, Quinte Custom Foods, Hanon Systems, and Redpath Sugar.
At this time, interested employers are encouraged to connect with their local municipality to learn about future career fairs, as registration for this career fair is at capacity and is now closed, noted officials.
“The Work in Quinte Career Fair is an excellent opportunity for local job seekers and employers alike,” added Victoria Watts, business growth and retention specialist for the City of Belleville. “By partnering with Quinte West on this event, we are able to collaborate and expand our talent pool to fill vacant positions in the Bay of Quinte region with the best candidates possible.”
The career fair is meant to give job seekers looking for a new position or a change in their career an opportunity to explore vacant positions and network with recruiters from across the Bay of Quinte region, explained officials, adding job seekers are encouraged to come interview ready with resumes in hand to speak directly with businesses actively seeking employees to fill more than 400 vacant positions.
