Bancroft OPP say a RIDE program over the weekend has resulted in impaired driving and other charges for a Campbellford resident.
On Saturday, April 27, 2024, shortly after 12:30 a.m., officers said they stopped a vehicle during a RIDE check in Bancroft.
An investigation resulted in the driver being arrested, reported OPP.
As a result of the investigation, police said a 33-year-old Campbellford resident was charged with operation while prohibited, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), operation while impaired – alcohol, and fail to comply with probation order.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on May 14, 2024, reported police.
