Northumberland OPP say two Cramahe residents are facing assault charges after an alleged altercation near Castleton.
On Tuesday, police confirmed they made two arrests related to alleged assault on a third person.
Over the weekend, on Saturday, April 27, at about 3:30 p.m., police said they responded to a report of an altercation at a residence near Castleton in the Township of Cramahe.
Officers said they arrived on scene and conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle, which the two accused were reported to be leaving the location in.
As a result of an investigation, police said a 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, both from the Township of Cramahe, were charged with assault.
These charges have not been proven in court.
At the time of the incident, injuries to the victim were described as minor, said police.
Both accused are scheduled to appear in Cobourg court later, added police.
