If you’re interested in learning more about community safety and wellness, there’s an expo in the works in Quinte West.
The City of Quinte West and community safety and well-being partners are teaming up for the Quinte West Wellness Expo, which offers residents a chance to connect with local health and wellness organizations, including mental health supports, free public workshops, free naloxone training, the chance to learn how to prepare a 72-hour emergency kit, and more.
Whether you’re interested in learning more about area services, or educational events, you can mark May 11 on the calendar. Interested attendees can learn more online via the city’s website.
The event runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at City Hall (7 Creswell Dr., Trenton.)
Some of the vendors include Brighton Retirement Living, the Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centre, the Canadian Mental Health Association Hastings Prince Edward, Hear Canada, Next Step Housing Connection, OPP, Three Oaks Foundation, the YMCA, Quinte West Gardens – Growing Community, the library, local youth centre, and more.
These types of events are supported through the city’s community safety and well-being plan.
This year’s host is the Quinte West Mental Health and Addictions Action Table.
Public health will deliver the naloxone training and will offer insights into substance use supports and related trends in the community, it states online.
