The icy waters of Lake Ontario saw an incredible feat of bravery and community spirit during the 2024 Cobourg/Port Hope Polar Plunge on March 28th.
Ninety-three fearless individuals took the chilling leap to support Special Olympics Ontario.
Organized by the Cobourg Police Service (CPS), Port Hope Police Service (PHPS), and Community Living & Respite Northumberland (CL), the event raised over $27,000.
These funds will directly benefit Special Olympics Ontario programs, offering year-round sports training and competition opportunities for athletes.
Organizers send out a special thank you to major donors:
• Giant Tiger
• Metro
• Cramahe Firefighters Association
• Chadwick’s Towing & Repairs Inc.
• Cobourg Mazda
• Spencer Transport Inc.
