The Northumberland Humane Society (NHS) is extending its deepest gratitude to the Northumberland community for their overwhelming support at the Bow Wow Fair 2024.
This beloved annual event, which took place in June, was a roaring success thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors. Donations were made to the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank and Fare Share Pet Food Bank, helping both humans and animals in need.
NHS Chair Jason Schmidt commented: “With no government funding, it’s the community’s support that allows us to shelter and care for animals until they find their forever homes. We are incredibly thankful.”

The NHS says they remains dedicated to their mission of improving animal welfare and look forward to continued community partnership to create a safe and supportive environment for all animals.
