Prince Edward County OPP say an investigation is continuing after a sudden death at Sandbanks Provincial Park.
Police say over the weekend, on Saturday, July 6, at about 4:45 p.m., emergency medical services (EMS) responded to a report of an unresponsive person located in the water in the outlet beach area.
A 66-year-old woman was transported to hospital and pronounced deceased, police confirmed on Sunday, July 7.
The investigation is continuing, and a postmortem has been scheduled to determine a cause of death, added police.
