An investigation is continuing after a 59-year-old man was found stabbed, say Belleville police.
According to the Belleville Police Service, on the evening of Monday, July 29, at about 5:52 p.m., police responded to a report of a group of men fighting on the corner of Dundas Street East and Ann Street.
Initial reports indicated that there were knives and a baseball bat involved, said police.
Upon arrival, police said they located a 59-year-old man who had been stabbed.
Paramedics also responded to the call and transported the man to a Kingston hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, reported police.
The suspect had allegedly fled the scene prior to police arrival, said the Belleville Police Service, on Tuesday, while adding that members of its criminal investigative division are continuing to investigate.
