A road closure is in the works to accomodate the Quinte West House League Soccer Tournament in Centennial Park this weekend.
The city says Couch Crescent will be closed to through traffic Saturday, Aug. 17 and Sunday, Aug.18, between Bay Street and the Trenton Skatepark.
The closure is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days.
However, Couch Crescent will remain accessible on both sides of the closure area from Bay and Ontario streets, note city officials.
The park just hosted the Cameron Memorial Soccer Tournament, the Quinte West Soccer Club’s annual house league year-end tourney, which drew in more than 2,000 young soccer players at the 26th annual event.
The highly-anticipated Canada Soccer Toyota National Championships are also coming to Centennial Park later this fall.
