This annual event is a great way for animal lovers to show their support for our four-legged friends while enjoying a day of fun and fellowship on the links at Dalewood Golf Club.
This year has been a challenging one for NHS, so much so that they were forced to pause surrenders to the shelter due to capacity issues. Executive Director Henny Venus tells us that he’s optimistic thanks to the many people that have adopted animals, but the sheer number of animals that they’ve been dealing with has but tremendous pressure on their resources.
Venus tells us that the costs associated with taking in stray cats and dogs alone is why events like Putt 4 Paws is so important to their efforts.
This year, attendees will enjoy 18 holes of “scramble” golf with shared cart, lunch, steak dinner and specialty prize holes and games. You can also join the fun for dinner after golf too.
According to Venus, they’ll have some furry friends out for the day to cheer you on.
Venus tells us that some sponsorship opportunities are still available at three different levels: The Great Dane, The Beagle and The Chihuahua that offer sponsors different levels of exposure for their support but right now their big push is for more golfers.
To sign up as an individual, as a foursome, or as a sponsor, please contact: putt4paws@northumberlandhs.com or call 416-258-2311.
Your support will help provide temporary shelter and comfort to all animals in need while the Northumberland Humane Society works to find “forever homes” for animals in need.
