Over the weekend of October 4 to 6, 2024, Northumberland OPP conducted traffic enforcement, resulting in numerous charges.
A 41-year-old from Campbellford was charged with impaired driving after an incident on Payn Road, Township of Hamilton. His vehicle was impounded, and his license suspended for 90 days.
In a separate stop, a 28-year-old from Baltimore was charged with driving while under suspension and several other offences after police observed an obstructed windshield and improper tires.
Officers issued 49 speeding tickets over the weekend, along with multiple other charges for driving without valid permits, careless driving, and stunt driving.
Northumberland OPP say they remain committed to road safety and to expect increased presence over the upcoming Thanksgiving long weekend.
