
Northumberland OPP are calling on the public for help after a single-vehicle rollover on Hwy. 401 Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024.
On Thursday, Nov. 7, police issued a public plea, calling on any witnesses or anyone with information relating to the collision to come forward and speak with OPP.
Emergency crews responded to the rollover at about 3:15 p.m. on Hwy. 401 westbound in the Township of Hamilton.
“Officers arrived and observed a heavily damaged pick-up truck on the north side of the highway,” said police, adding the lone occupant was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash shut down two of three lanes for cleanup and investigation.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or who has information about the incident, or anyone with video/dash-cam footage relating to the driving of the blue pick-up truck prior to the collision to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Police also provided a reference number of: E241484264.
Officers said they also believe the vehicle was in Cobourg prior to the incident.
