
A 47-year-old Trenton woman is one of two individuals facing drug and weapon-related charges after a traffic stop in Belleville, say police.
According to the Belleville Police Service, shortly after midnight on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, police stopped a vehicle in the Hwy. 62 and Millennium Parkway area for alleged stunt driving.
As an investigation ensued, the two occupants were reportedly arrested. The 47-year-old Trenton woman is now facing possession and weapon-related charges, said police.
A 38-year-old man with no fixed address was also arrested and now faces possession, possession for the purpose of trafficking, weapons, obstructing a peace officer, stunt driving, and additional charges, reported police.
Police said the man was also wanted by neighbouring police services.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
As a result of the traffic stop, police said they seized: 16.7 grams of suspected fentanyl, 18.3 grams of suspected cocaine, two CO2 replica handguns, knives, drug paraphernalia, cellphones, and open liquor.
