One of the most successful acts in music history is making a stop in Peterborough.
The Beach Boys are set to bring their “Endless Summer Gold” tour to Canada in 2025, with an 11-date run kicking off March 22nd in Victoria, B.C., and concluding April 4th at the Memorial Centre.
Musical Historian Gerry O’Day says there really was a formula to The Beach Boys’ success.
Other stops will include Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg.
The announcement comes as co-founder and lead singer Mike Love, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, received a nomination for the 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame. Love, recognized in the “Performing Songwriters” category, co-wrote timeless hits like California Girls, Good Vibrations, and Kokomo.
O’Day adds the iconic musical group has truly left its mark.
The Beach Boys remain a cultural force, highlighted by their recent Disney+ documentary directed by Frank Marshall and Thom Zimny. The film features interviews with band members and rare footage, alongside a soundtrack of classics and a bonus track, Little Blue Bathing Suit. The group also released their first official book, The Beach Boys by The Beach Boys, chronicling their rise from Surfin’ to global fame.
The Peterborough show will be presented by Oldies 100.9 and Oldies 96.7. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
