Christmas on steel wheels rolls into Brighton today (Friday, Nov. 29) when the Canadian Pacific and Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train arrives at Prince Edward Street.
The railway has scheduled the stop from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Northumberland OPP officers will be onsite directing traffic.
Police note road closures will be in place from around 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and that residents should expect delays and follow the marked detour to Ontario Street.
During the CPKC Holiday Train trek, money and food are collected for local food banks.
Professional musicians play free concerts from the brightly-decorated train’s stage.
