
Quinte West OPP are calling on the public for help after a vehicle was allegedly stolen from a gas station in the west end and then involved in a single-vehicle crash.
Police, with help from OPP’s forensic identification services, responded to a report of a theft of a vehicle at the gas pumps on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024.
After allegedly fleeing the scene, the vehicle was involved in a single-vehicle collision at Telephone Road and 2nd Dug Hill Road, where it entered the ditch and struck a pole, said police.
Witnesses told police that the driver got into another vehicle and left the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, with police reviewing video surveillance from the store, reported OPP.
